Prospector's Bluff — Standard Edition

A Gold Rush-era card game of nerve, bluffing, and the fortune buried just beneath the surface.

2–6 players, 20–30 min. Accessible to a broad range of player skills, with hidden depth for the masters.

In the boomtowns of the 1800s, a claim was never just about what you found, it was about what you were willing to risk to keep it. Prospectors staked their ground on instinct, bluffed their way through uncertainty, and learned that the richest veins often sat right next to the ones that could ruin you. Fortune favored the bold, but it rarely favored the careless.

Prospector's Bluff puts you back in those boots.

What's in the Box

Housed in a premium engraved wooden box built to last as long as the legends it's based on, the Standard Edition includes everything you need to strike it rich, or lose it all:

  • 107 cards, featuring 37 unique pieces of artwork bringing the boomtown to life
  • 4 Ore types — Copper, Silver, Gold, and Fool's Gold, each with its own risk and reward
  • 2 special Action Cards that will shake the entire table when they hit

How You'll Play

You build and control 3 Mine Shafts of your own, fully known to you, but only partly visible to everyone else. Any shaft on the table is fair game, yours or an opponent's, but only a shaft with all matching ore can actually be mined.

Every turn comes down to one choice: dig for more, building toward a shaft worth taking (Prospect), or make your move and mine (Mine). Race to collect another player's shaft before they can cash it in themselves, or quietly build your own and hope nobody notices what you're sitting on.

Guess wrong, and you could walk away with nothing, a handful of worthless Fool's Gold, or worse, handing your opponent an easy win.

And just when you think you've read the table, the ground shifts beneath you. The Earth Tremors force hard choices as shafts collapse and the endgame closes in. The Catastrophic Quake will bring it all down in an instant, leaving only the wisest prospectors worth telling stories about.

Players of all skill levels can pick it up, but the depth and strategy will reward those willing to dig deeper.

Games move quick, most rounds wrap in 20 to 30 minutes, but the decisions never get easy. Do you mine now, or wait for a better shaft? Do you trust the pile everyone else has been picking through? Can you tell when a rival is bluffing their way to a claim they don't really have?

Strike gold. Dodge the fool's. Bluff your way to the top.
