Prospector's Bluff Card Game - Limited Fool's Gold Edition
Meet the Prospectors of the Fool's Gold Edition
Rufus Ferguson — Hot-tempered and quick to anger, Rufus made his name not by striking gold, but by convincing others he had. His volatile temper was as legendary as his tall tales, and in a boomtown built on rumor and desperation, few dared call his bluff twice.
Ezra Coldwell — Quiet and perpetually melancholy, Ezra learned early that the real fortune wasn't in the ground, it was in knowing what everyone else was hiding. Behind his weary eyes was a man who'd seen too much and trusted too little, and few could tell when his silence hid a bluff.
Pyrite's uncanny resemblance to true gold made it a favorite tool of con men throughout the gold rush era. Dishonest prospectors would "salt" a claim, planting pyrite or even real gold flakes into worthless ground, to deceive a buyer into paying top dollar for a claim that held nothing of value. To the untrained eye, Fool's Gold could pass for the real thing, and more than one fortune was lost trusting what glittered.
The Fool's Gold Edition includes 4 wooden Claim Inspection Certificates.
Special Fool's Gold Rule: Claim Inspection Certificate
The First time a player successfully mines a complete Fool's Gold shaft, they may collect a Claim Inspection Certificate, up to a maximum of one per player for the entire game.
A player holding a Claim Inspection Certificate, may immediately after their (Prospect or Mine action), use it to secretly peek at ANY one face-down card anywhere on the table (Players Shaft, Discard Pile or Draw Pile). The Claim Inspection Certificate is not consumed when used and lasts for the remainder of the game once collected.
