Meet the Prospectors of the Silver Edition

Tobias Crane — A quiet prospector who trusted his instruments more than his luck, Tobias built a reputation for reading the ground before ever sinking a shaft. His careful eye for silver made him a partner worth watching, and worth following.

In many of the era's richest strikes, silver and gold were found running through the same veins, so closely bound together that a prospector could never be certain which metal they'd truly uncovered until the ore was assayed. Striking silver often meant gold wasn't far behind, and the two metals became forever linked in the folklore of the boomtowns.

The Silver Edition includes two silver wooden coins.

Special Silver Edition Rule: The Silver Lead
Whenever a Silver shaft is successfully mined, both the player who initiated the mining action and the shaft's owner each flip a coin to see who claims any exposed Gold card on the table.

• Whoever lands on the Assayers Scale takes any single exposed Gold card on the table (any players mine shaft or the top of the discard pile. (If a card is removed from a mine shaft, the shaft's owner immediately replaces it with the top card from the ore draw pile). If no gold is exposed then no action is taken.
• The initiating player flips first.
• The shaft's owner flips second.
• If the initiating player is also the shaft's owner, they flip both coins themselves.
